Slow Cooker Turtle Monkey Bread
You’ll Need
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
16.3 oz. Grands biscuits
3/4 c. pecan halves, divided
2 T. whipping cream
1/3 c. milk chocolate chips
How To
First, spray a 5 quart slow cooker with nonstick spray;
Microwave brown sugar and butter uncovered for about 1 to 2 minutes on high. Stir every 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth.
Ine a resealable plastic bag, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Seperate the dough into 8 biscuits and cut each into fourths. Add a few of the biscuit pieces at a time to the bag then shake to coat.
In the slow cooker, scant 1/4 cup of the pecans and top them with half of the biscuits. Add in 1/3 of the butter mixture. Repeat with 1/4 cup of pecans and the remaining biscuits. Pour the rest of the butter mixture then sprinkle with the rest of the pecans.
To collect the condensation, place 6 to 7 paper towels under the lid.
Cook covered on high for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Replace with paper towels and lid, letting stand for 10 minutes.
Bring the cream to a boil and add in the chocolate chips or heat hot the fudge to drizzle over the biscuits.
8 Run a knife around edge of crock; turn bread upside down onto heatproof serving plate.
Add some chocolate over monkey bread if you like.
