People think that turkey is very hard to cook! I’m here to tell you that’s wrong! Enough with the complicated recipes, this crock pot rosemary turkey breasts is ridiculously delicious! And the more important thing is that it’s super easy to make although it takes some time to cook. The combination of turkey breasts, rosemary and sugared cranberries is surprisingly perfect. Rosemary Turkey Breasts
You’ll Need
2 turkey breast halves, 2-2½ lb. each (bone-in)
2 teaspoons dried sage or more, if desired
2 teaspoons dried thyme, or more, if desired
Fresh ground pepper, to taste
2 cups onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
8 springs fresh rosemary
4-6 springs fresh rosemary
Lemon slices
Sugared cranberries, see recipe below
How To
First prepare the turkey. Remove the skin from the breasts and pat dry then season each breast with sage, thyme and pepper on both sides.
On the bottom of crock pot, place 1 cup of onions and half the garlic. Place the breasts breast side down then top with the remaining onions and garlic.
Add the chicken broth and lemon juice to the top.
Place the rosemary springs under the breasts and on top of them.
On high setting, cook for 1 hour then reduce the heat to low setting and cook for an additional 3 to 4 hours. The turkey need to be completely white inside.
Let the turkey breasts cool before slicing and placing them on a serving plate.
Add some of the juice from the crock pot all over the turkey and garnish with fresh rosemary springs, lemon slices and sugared cranberries.
You can store the leftovers in a bowl.
