You’ll Need (for the cake):

2 cups of all-purpose flour.
2 cups of sugar.
2 sticks of butter.
5 tbsp. of cocoa powder.
2 eggs.
½ cup of buttermilk.
1 tsp. of baking soda.
1 tsp. Of vanilla.
You’ll Need ( for the fudge icing):

1 stick of butter.
4 tbsp. Of milk.
4 tbsp. Of cocoa powder.
1 (16 ounce) box of powdered sugar.
1 tsp. Of vanilla.
1 cup of chopped pecans.

How to:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and generously grease a 9×13 pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour and sugar.
Mix together the butter, water and cocoa in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once they start boiling, add in the flour and sugar mixture.
Stir well then add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30 minutes.

To make the fudge icing, mix together the butter, the milk and cocoa in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add in the powdered sugar. You need to stir the mixture until the sugar melts completely. Once smooth, add in vanilla and pecans.
Pour the icing over the cake while it’s still hot.

Simple, easy and yummy! It doesn’t take time to prepare and I can assure you that your family will love it.
