Start by cutting your chicken into chunks according to your preference. Set aside once cut.
In one bowl, whisk together the egg and the milk until combined.
In a separate bowl, place the breadcrumbs to prepare for coating.
Dip the chicken chunks in the egg and milk mixture first, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Once coated in the breadcrumbs, cook the chunks in a little oil until golden brown and place them in a baking dish.
Assemble Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
Spread the cheese and ham (optional) over the chicken and pour the mixture of soup and 1 cup of milk over the top.
In a preheated oven to 350° bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
